Sub Drop

This was posted on DsKiosk...I thought it was good information to have available.

Mornin' all,
I was doin' a little research to help sweepea deal with endorphin crashes,
which are a fairly big problem for her, and ran across some interestin' info
on another list. Seems endorphin crashes or subdrop, can be be softened, or
even delayed with diet. Apparantly no joke! Goes like this. A meal startin'
with a tomato and romaine lettuce salad with any tomato based dressing
(tomatos contain the amino acid phenylalanine, which slows down the breakdown
of endorphins...romaine lettuce contains tyrosine, another amino acid which
counters depression.) So far we have countered depression and slowed down
the endorphin breakdown. Next The entree consisting of chicken, brown rice
and green beans. (chicken is rich in the amino acid, tryptophan, which
converts to serotonin, a calm inducing brain chemical. Greenbeans are rich
in folic acid, which raise the level of serotonin. Brown rice is high in B-6
which converts tryptophan to serotonon.) Now finish up your meal with a
healthy portion of chocolate ice cream. The chocolate contains
phenylethylamine, an antidepressant. The sugar in the ice cream boosts
serotonin, and the fat elevates endorphin levels.
